A programming note
Hey there!
I know, I haven’t posted anything in nearly a month, and there’s been a fair amount of news since then, including the deadline for college players to withdraw from the NBA Draft, a boatload of transfers and the first General Manager hired for a college basketball program.
The thing is, I’m still writing about all the stuff. It’s just at a different site.
And it’s quite exciting.
Rob Dauster, one of the first people I hired to write about college basketball (probably in 2008?), launched his own site, The Field of 68, back in 2020. He and Jeff Goodman run a network of podcasts that cover the sport in more meaningfully than just about any major sports outlet. It’s regular, daily content that covers damn near every part of men’s hoops.
Late last month, I agreed to help him build the newsletter portion of the business.
That starts with The Field of 68 Daily. I write twice a week, edit it three other days a week, set the editorial calendar and will soon start implementing ads. By the end of the 2022-23 season, my goal is to do this full time with a series of free and paid newsletters.
So thanks for reading. And please, subscribe to The Field of 68 Daily. I’d love to have you over there.
